INDION NEW GENERATION SOFTENERS
Product Description
Indion New Generation softeners are compact, manually operated units that are easily & quickly installed.
The softeners contains a bed of ion exchange material through which hard water passes & in process it exchanges sodium ions for the hardness (calcium & magnesium ion present in water). All the hardness salts in water are converted to their equivalent sodium salt which has no scale forming properties.
The softening process continues till the ion exchange material has no more sodium ion available for exchange. The material is regenerated with sodium chloride (common salt) to replenish the sodium ions. The cycle of alternate softening & regeneration can be repeated continuously.
In NGS series, the normal flow of water is upward, while the brine flow is downwards during regeneration. This CCR (counter current regeneration) ensures a consistently low residual hardness in treated water.
